1. Who we are
Forced Rep is a personal workout planning, set logging, and strength progression application published by Perseverance Software. For privacy questions or data requests, contact perseverancesoftware.help@gmail.com.
2. Information stored by Forced Rep
Forced Rep stores workout programs, exercise logs, completed reps, weights, rest timer states, progression curves, and personal training notes in app storage on your device. JSON exports, Cloud Safety Mirror, and device backup services can create additional copies as described below. Forced Rep does not require account creation. Workout logs are not sent to Perseverance Software's exercise report service; reports you choose to submit are handled as described in section 4.
3. Backup, JSON export, and Cloud Safety Mirror
You can export and restore JSON backups. Manual exports contain readable JSON that you choose where to save or share. For users with Pro access, Cloud Safety Mirror is on by default and automatically writes a readable JSON backup to app-specific storage unless you turn it off in the App.
- Android: If you select another folder using the system file picker, the App also writes backup copies there. The folder may be on your device or managed by a cloud storage provider. That provider controls whether and when the files are uploaded.
- iOS: When iCloud Drive is available, the App also writes a backup copy to its iCloud Drive container. Otherwise, the Cloud Safety Mirror copy remains on the device.
- Encryption and access: Forced Rep does not add its own encryption or password to JSON exports or Cloud Safety Mirror files. Anyone who can access a file may be able to read its contents. Device and storage provider protections depend on your settings.
- Other backups: Your device's backup service may separately copy app data, depending on your backup settings. Perseverance Software does not operate a backup storage server or receive these backup files.
4. Exercise issue reports
If you choose Submit Report, the App sends the exercise name and ID, issue category, any comment you write, app version, language, platform, and a random installation ID to our report service. The App saves a copy on your device first and retries if sending fails. Please do not include names, contact details, or medical information in your comment.
We use reports to review and correct exercise information. The installation ID helps enforce the limit of one report per hour and three in a rolling 24 hours. External service providers host the report service and deliver reports to a private inbox for authorized reviewers. They receive the report content, including your comment, and may process connection information such as your IP address. We do not sell reports or use them for advertising.
We normally remove delivered reports from our report database after 90 days. Reports awaiting delivery or manual resolution may remain longer. Copies held by our service providers may follow their own retention settings. Deleting the App does not remove a report already sent; contact us with the exercise name and approximate submission time if you want to request its deletion.
5. Exercise technique videos and YouTube
Forced Rep allows you to view exercise technique demonstrations linked to YouTube. When you choose to play a video, network requests are made directly to YouTube's services. Google and YouTube may process device information, IP address, and cookie identifiers in accordance with their terms. For details, review the Google Privacy Policy and YouTube Terms of Service.
6. Notifications and rest timers
Forced Rep uses on-device system notifications, vibration, and audio alerts to signal when a rest interval between sets has finished. All timer calculation and notification scheduling occurs entirely on your device without communicating with external push notification servers.
7. Purchases & subscriptions
Optional purchases and Forced Rep Pro subscriptions are processed securely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Perseverance Software never collects or stores credit card or financial account numbers. The store platforms provide receipt validation and entitlement status to unlock subscribed features on your devices.
8. Data sharing and advertising
Perseverance Software does not sell, rent, or monetize your workout information. If you save a backup with a third-party storage provider, that provider may process the file under its own policies. Submitted exercise reports are handled by external service providers as described in section 4. Forced Rep contains no third-party advertising SDKs and does not collect or track Apple IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) or Google Advertising ID.
9. Retention and deletion
You can delete workout data from the App using its clear-data options or your operating system's app management controls. Deleting app data or uninstalling the App may not delete JSON exports, Cloud Safety Mirror copies, or device backups. Remove those copies separately from their storage locations or backup services. Exercise reports already submitted to the report service are subject to the retention and deletion process in section 4.
10. Security
App storage is protected by your device and operating system access controls according to your settings. Forced Rep does not separately encrypt JSON exports or Cloud Safety Mirror files. Keep your device, backup locations, and storage accounts secure.
11. Changes to this policy
We may revise this privacy policy as new features are added or regulations evolve. The updated version will always be published on this page with an updated effective date.
